I knew when I saw this guest bathroom that it had so much potential! The owner didn’t like ANYTHING in the space and was ready for a revamp after 12 years.
Although the client thought everything should go, I saw some potential with what she already had.
I knew going in, I wanted the space to be a “wow” with bold choices. It’s my philosophy that the smaller the space, the bolder the style.
The first decision that was made was the floor. I knew that I wanted the floor to be bold and FANCY! After all, this is the bathroom that the guests will use. I was so happy that the client was on the same page with this mosaic tile.
Once the floors were picked, I now had more direction for the wall color which was the next major decision.
This blue-grey color called “Calligraphy” by Behr was the perfect pair to the floors.
These metallic geometric lighting fixtures were my hardest “sale” to the client because they are not traditional. However, once it was explained that we were going BOLD, she agreed that these would be perfect. I knew that the gold faucet would elevate the pedestal sink enough, that a new one wouldn’t be needed.
The shelving was the icing on the cake. It brings that extra style to the space that it desperately needed.
The details are truly what make a space stand out and makes it personal. A space is simply the sum of its parts.
Overall I am so happy with the way that the space came out. The client really loved it, which was most important.
